Network Basics

A computer network is simply defined as "A connection of two or more computers so that they can share resources." Resources are in the form of hardware (ie. printers), software, data, Internet connection, etc. Setting up a home network is a fairly straightforward task, however it is always recommended that you arm yourself with a little knowledge to make things easier as well as safer (from a security point of view). Since the topic of networking has been documented ad nauseum on the Internet, there is no need to add more. Here are some great links to get you going:
