About
OpenOffice.org (more commonly known as OpenOffice) is the most popular office suite for Linux; The applications in OpenOffice are listed below:

MEPIS 8.0. The "Writer" word processor and "Draw" graphic components from OpenOffice 3 are preinstalled. They can be found in K-Menu --> Office
MEPIS 7.0. The "Writer" word processor and "Calc" spreadsheet components from OpenOffice 2.3.0 are preinstalled.
The remainder of the modules (which are not provided to save space on the LiveCD) can be installed easily via Synaptic. (Search for package name openoffice.org-calc, openoffice.org-math, etc)

Updating to a newer version on MEPIS 6.5
The installed version of OpenOffice on MEPIS 6.5 is older than the current release. If you want to get the latest version installed, see this page.
