Basic Tweaks

• KDE4 desktop
• Access Windows side of a dual-boot
• Add desktop links to hardware or software
• Adjust the wireless connection
• Change Measure Units
• Change font size
• Change the monitor resolution
• Change the Desktop wallpaper
• Fix Sound for audio CD
• Getting DVDs to play
• Make changes in Kicker (task bar)

• Get browser and email to open links
• Stop KwikDisk asking for root password

Other Tweaks

• Add filmstrip (photo) view to konqueror
• Add System Monitor to Kicker
• Adjust the bluetooth dialup connection
• Automount drives
• Enable extra keys, buttons, or controls on laptops or multimedia keyboards
• Enable 5 button mouse
• Change the boot order, in case you want another OS to start first
• Enable Java in OpenOffice
• Enable Multiple Desktops (workspaces) in KDE
• Enable old style KDM login prompt
• Enable per-folder view settings in Konqueror
• Install new kernel for 686, k7, multiprocessor, multicore, hyperthreaded machines
• Remove Services that you don't need

• Distinguishing look of Konqueror (run as root) from Konqueror (run as normal user)
