Rkhunter

RKHunter is a RootKit detector, it also checks for obvious weak configuration of some important packages (for example ssh)

Installation instructions:

Install it with Synaptic/apt-get

Utilization:

1. Upgrade definitions:
   • As root type: rkhunter --update
2. Check the system:
   • As root type: rkhunter -c
   • Press Enter when prompted to continue testing.
3. For more info type: rkhunter | less
