Release announcement

  • MEPISLite is designed for home users with modest hardware and for those who want to use a light-weight version of MEPIS with a MEPIS Traveller Disc.
  • MEPISLite is similar to SimplyMEPIS, except that some packages have been changed to improve performance. Most notably, OpenOffice has been replaced with KOffice.
  • The MEPIS Traveller Disc allows the MEPIS default user to permanently keep a home directory on a USB Key or other pluggable device. The MEPIS OS Center can be used with the Traveller Disc to synchronize data between machines or to backup home directory data.

NOTE: This OS is no longer maintained. For an up-to-date substitute, see AntiX.
