USB keyboard and mouse not detected at boottime

This solution works with kernel 2.6.15 ( default with Mepis 6.0 and 6.5 ) and Dell USB keyboard and mouse:

Add boot parameter "usb-handoff"

I had the same problem which I fixed by selecting the "legacy mode" in the BIOS for USB keyboard and mouse.
