WiFi Configuration

[edit]
Introduction
- What is 802.11x?
- MEPIS comes preconfigured to autodetect a WiFi card. Some cards will not be autodetected, but will work with some manual configuration.
- If you are a newcomer to MEPIS, please first consult the basic steps for getting your wireless running if it did not start automatically.
- Your wireless configuration can be fine tuned in MEPIS 6.5 and 7.0 with the Network Manager/Assistant. In earlier MEPIS versions, use MEPIS Utilities, MEPIS System Center or OS Center.
- If there is no native Linux driver for your card, you can use a Windows driver using Ndiswrapper or Linuxant (non-free).
