Add filmstrip view to konqueror

Konqueror does not have a "filmstrip" view for photos by default, but it can easily be added.

  • close any open konqueror windows
  • Open Synaptic package manager
  • Search for "Gwenview"
  • Mark gwenview for install and click "apply"
  • Re-launch konqueror

The third of your three "view selector" icons should now have an option that looks like a camera. Select this and you will enter filmstrip view mode which shows image thumbnails on the left and a larger image on the right.
