One process for doing this that has worked for MEPIS users is to use Avidemux to convert the video files to dvd compliant mpeg2. Then use Devede to create the menu and make a dvd iso image. There should be a setting in devede where you select that the video is already dvd compliant - this goes pretty fast as the transcoding was already done by Avidemux. Then play the iso in a video like Kaffeine or VLC to test it and, if fine, burn to dvd using K3b.
Tips and Tricks
- You have to tell the player to play a DVD disc, which is usually /dev/sr0, not any file on the disc.
