Increase apt cache

!!! Warning! The info contained in this article pertains to older versions of MEPIS !!!

  1. type kdesu kwrite /etc/apt/apt.conf in Run Command or in Konsole(users of differing desktop environments may do similar).
  2. type the root password when prompted.
  3. double the size of the APT::Cache-Limit field.
  4. save the file.
  5. do an apt-get clean && apt-get upgrade.
