Automatix for Mepis

Per installare Automatix bisogna aggiornare i repository:

kdesu kate /etc/apt/sources.list

Aggiungere questa riga:

deb http://www.getautomatix.com/apt mepis main

Scaricare le GPG key per autenticare i repository:

wget http://www.getautomatix.com/apt/key.gpg.asc
gpg --import key.gpg.asc
gpg --export --armor 521A9C7C | sudo apt-key add -

Aggiornare :

apt-get update

Installare Automatix:

apt-get install zenity
apt-get install automatix

Avviare Automatix dal menu come root oppure da terminale:

su
automatix

L'unico consiglio che voglio dare prima di utilizzare Automatix è quello di fare un backup di "/etc/apt/sources.list" anche se di default, ad installazione dei software avvenuta, lo script dovrebbe chiedere all'utente se ripristinare la vecchia versione del file...la prudenza non è mai troppa :-)
