MEPIS Forum Etiquette and Guidelines
The following is a guide for using our community forums. This guide is designed to ensure that our forums remain a helpful and friendly place.
General Etiquette
- All posts should be polite, constructive, and on topic.
- Do not make personal attacks on other users for any reason.
- Keep it clean! Profanity is inconsiderate and offensive and will not be tolerated.
- We will not tolerate any spamming.
- Advertising of any products other than those directly related to or involving MEPIS Linux is not permitted.
- Registered users may include links to their own personal website or other non-commercial sites in their personal signatures. Links to commercial sites are considered advertising and will not be tolerated.
Posting Guidelines
- Search before you post. Someone may have already posted the same question.
- Try to post in the correct forum. Take the time to try to figure out the best place for your topic. We reserve the right to move your topic if it is improperly posted.
- Be specific with your topic name. Vague topics such as "I have a question" do not help anyone.
- Pay attention to the dates on the thread, and avoid posting to old threads.
We reserve the right to ban any member who violates our guidelines or disrupts our community.
