Cannot print emails

My Epson Color Stylus 640 prints text OK from word processor, but it will not print emails. I get the error message:
CUPSDOPRINT -P 'Epson' -j 'file:/// -H 'localhost:631' -U 'root -O' copies=1
multiple-document-handling= separate-document-uncollated-copies orientation-requested=3' '/tmp/kde- Alex/kdeprint _JEgsCkbA'
execution failed with message
client-error-not-possible
Advice on how to correct this would be much appreciated,
Thanks,
Alex

Well i dont use or know anything about Kmail so the best thing i can do for you is suggest you save them to h-drive and print them from there till you find someone familiar with it . I have a few ideas but it might screw somethin else up so best not to play long distance.

Epson Color Stylus 640 problem

Thanks for the effort Jim, but the problem has escalated to the point where I cannot print anything. I am getting error message "error in printing" and no other details.
So, saving work to hda and printing later is not an option for me, but returning to Windows98SE feels like a trip back to heaven at this stage. If I need assistance from a forum to install a simple device like a printer that is not a good system, so I am removing this crap off my system for good.
Thanks again,
Alex

Well im thinkin you

should have setup a dual boot at the start. You jumped in at the deep end with beta software anyway. Try and save what you can of the keepers & reinstall win98se AND then put Mepis lets say 3.3.1-1 on after and dont mess with it & you can learn a little at a time , its a very good release for most hardware and everything works . My main partition is still 3.3.1-1 cause its solid. Try it that way a while i think youll be glad you did , winders will irritate the hell out of you in a bit anyway.
