skype sound problem when Kaudiocreator and Amarok in use on Mepis 3.4-3

found this problem the other day, when Kaudiocreator (cd Ripper) in use with skype and Amarok 1.4.0 using KDE 3.5.2. on Mepis 3.4-3
the sound in skype will not work but when Kaudiocreator is shutdown skype works without a problem any one have idea about a fix. Or is it just Amarok 1.4.0 the cause as that was the last upgraded program. One other thing sound still works with all other programs as far as I can see it's just Skype.

Skype starts to workand then....

I use SkypeOut to call family and friends in Mexico, Spain and other places. So I was pleased to see that Mepis6 came with it installed. But:
I can't seem to make it work. It sometimes gets me through the diagnostic call to "echo123", but then it registers an error with the sound system, and I haven't a clue where to start looking for the problem. If I click on a wav file it readily plays it under XMMS Which seems to indicate that the sound system is alright.
