Encountering Problem when attempting to Dual Boot

Hello,
I'm new to Linux, so can anyone help me on how to dual boot? Also, when I try to dual boot to XP, something called the Vaio recovering manager appears, and then after a while, the Blue Scrren of Death appears, and then my coomputer freezes. I can get onto Mepis OK, but I want access to XP for the moment. Also, if this doesn't work out, how do I delete Linux from my computer so I can run XP again? Thanks. BTW, I'm using a Sony Vaio RB30, so that might be the cause of my failure to dual-boot.

You got to be careful with vaio they consider your computer as there's so they do not like other system's on there computer. How did you setup the partions? Did you accendently erase there recovery partion? You might have no choice other than sticking the sony vaio disk in and reinstalling XP, it must be the sony disk, it won't accept anything else.
