Problem on boot-up
I've tried both the Mepis beta 4 & 5 disks now on my machine, they're ok on my other computer. The problem is when I boot up the disk, it hangs on the part where it is setting up LVM volume groups [4294702.855000] [4294702.855000]
Mepis 3.4.3 is fine, Suse is fine, so is Ubuntu, Fedora, Symphony, etc... I can't think what the problem is, i've even tried disconnecting the HDD in case it was that, but it's the same.
Hardware is: MSI K7N2 Delta board, AMP Sempron 2800+ cpu, Crucial 2700 512 DDR ram, Asus Radeon 9200 AGP Graphics card & Hitachi Deskstar 80GB HDD

Try the other boot options
I too have had difficulties booting mepis at times on later model hardware, and Warren knows about these so he and his crew have provided alternate boot options for those that experience issues.
Try the other options at boot time like vesa, etc. If they don't work, post back and we'll find a command line boot option that could work.
Have you tried md5summing the disk you're using to compare it with the official md5sum from the mirrors? If there is any difference, the disk you using may have a fault, but if you check it again and it gives a different md5sum from the first one, then your drive may have a fault. Also check the md5sum of your downloaded iso file to make sure it is the same as the official md5sum. If it's not the same, download it again.

After a more in depth look
After a more in depth look at my PC today, I found out that my HDD was going down. Maybe this was the problem. After buying a new one, Win XP booted up ok, yet to try Mepis 6...
Thanks again for your reply..
