PDF Opening In FF

It appears the file association for pdfs is missing in RC2. When I tried to open the latest Tux Magazine it opened and errored in KGhostview. For some reason, the file association is missing for kpdf.

Not a Firefox Issue

Chris, I think this is not a Firefox issue, but rather an issue with kghostview. I use Adobe Acrobat Reader for reading TUX Magazine. First, as you probably know, right-click the link and then choose "save link as" to get the pdf downloaded. Then, you can open konqueror, go to where you saved the file, and right-click on the file and choose, Open With, and finally Acrobat Reader or Adobe Reader.

I can't remember if I'd

I can't remember if I'd opened a pdf in any of the betas but in 3.4.3 the file association in FF for pdf was setup to open kpdf as a default, I thought. So it's not a FF issue but rather just the setup of the default actions for filetypes. I agree with you the Acrobat Reader is a better choice anyway. I just thought I would bring this up in case Warren was intending to have pdf associations tied to something like kpdf.

Isn't Tux Magazine great, BTW. Smiling

Chris
