Mepis and zh_TW - together!

I had to applaud the Mepis community for successfully allowing easy localization of notoriously difficult and undersupported locales.
I've been trying to get a good working zh_TW localization for a while. Even the SuSe 10 Chinese edition had problems when it came to entering text in K/QT applications.
After installing the zh_TW locale and related fonts (New Sung is excellent), there was only one thing missing: a Chinese input program.
I couldn't get either SCIM or SKIM configured to work correctly across applications. But I tried GCIN and it works perfect. It's also one of the smartest GNU/Linux IMs I've ever seen - even guessing subsequent character combinations!
So, if Mepis wants to go truly international, just get the zh_TW and zh_CN locales incorporated with GCIN and the New Sung font pack, then everything is set.

Johnbb, you are responding to a 9-month old post. We'll see if jwar is even still listening. Otherwise, perhaps someone else will be able to provide this information

From where does one download "GCIN" and "the New Sung font pack" ?.
