Fire fox bug still there

I still have the download problem. If you tell ff to save to any folder it acts like it is, but is really going to the tmp file and not the desired destination.
Try deleting your .mozilla file

I have tried this on windows machines and seen a number of problems fixed by deleting the firefox configuration file. When firefox is next started, it will make a new file. Not sure if this will work with Mepis, but if you're at all concerned, just remane it and if all goes pear shaped, you can just rename it back.

where's the tmp file at that it keeps going to? i always create a tmp file in my home for downloads. but for me it will save where ever i want it to. have you tried changing the setting to always ask.
