That is funny! It reminds me of the umpteenth times I have reinstalled Windows 2K Pro. The first thing I do when I am in is stop instant messenger and then disable it.
I'd reinstall it on a regular basis just to get rid of the poo that accumulates in the machine.
I never knew that some youngsters associate Windows with being cool, and LINUX as being geeky. Well, we all know that politicians that are just an image are worthless.

I've been working on my wife to do the same to her computer, and there's only a feew things I have to sort out for her before it will be done.
On another note, the avg system provides a linux version, but just like it's windows counterpart, it is as useful as an infants diaper to an elephant. I'm not surprised that it could not disinfect the system, it doesn't deserve the name antivirus. For those still dual-booting, get a real AV like NOD32 (they have a linux version too and it's way better than nortons), but don't tell your daughters.
