my screen saver doesn't work, I was looking for a solution and ran across this http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=42637
It's a temporary fix for a screensaver problem with kubuntu 6.06 using KDE 3.5.3.
I tried to get it running with no success.

The problem was a bug with KDE 3.5.3
I downloaded the the tar.gz file from this link
http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=42637
and followed the instuctions.
For me this didn't work until after I stopped and re-started kdm.
I just followed the instructions for starting and stopping kdm found at
http://www.mepis.org/node/10292
I left out the upgrade part.
Well my screen saver works now, so I guess it's temporarily fixed until the next KDE release.
