Multiple wireless configurations?
Being new to Mepis (I'm running 6.0) I am very pleased with how easy it is to configure the network, through the Mepis Utilities. Definitely a snap, without having to deal with config files or use the terminal. However, the Mepis Utils network config is kind of out-of-the way, and I'd rather not have to punch in the root password every time I need to change my wireless settings (e.g. when I take my laptop to a different wifi network, like home vs. work)
The ideal solution in my mind, would be able to set up my WEP settings for work, have different settings at home, and have Mepis automatically figure out which to use based on scanning the local wireless networks. Additionally, if I took my laptop to a coffee shop or airport where there was free wireless, it would automatically connect to the best network.
Is there a way to do that in Mepis? Can you override the Mepis Utility Wifi settings with another utility, say, Kwifimanager? Or is there a better utility to use?
Thanks,
Vergil

Kwifimanager will scan for
Kwifimanager will scan for and allow you to acquire an AP.
I've used it for that exact purpose when out and about...though not frequently, as I prefer a CAT5/6e connection.
