Double click on icons in KDE 3

My question may seem ridiculous, but I actually didn't find anything on it in the manual nor in Google. So, how can I specify, in KDE 3, that I want to double-click on the icons to open them, instead of web-like simple-click?

Go to K menu, System Configuration (Settings), Peripherals, Mouse (General tab). Select Icons - double click. Then save it.
That should do it.
