Remastering Mepis - Help
Posts: 3
Hi all,
I am following the Guidelines on Remastering Mepis from Freespire Wiki
I am not able to mount the cloop image. I get this error.
root@2[MEPIS-REMASTER]# modprobe cloop file=iso/linux/linux
root@2[MEPIS-REMASTER]# mount -r -t iso9660 /dev/cloop0 compressedfs
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/cloop0,
missing codepage or other error
(could this be the IDE device where you in fact use
ide-scsi so that sr0 or sda or so is needed?)
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
dmesg | tail or so
root@2[MEPIS-REMASTER]# dmesg | tail
[17187197.792000] isofs_fill_super: bread failed, dev=cloop0, iso_blknum=16, block=32
I would be happy if i get some help
Thanks

Any tips in hacking the installer?

If you are trying to remaster Mepis 6 you have to use squashfs.
Cloop was used on Mepis 3.4.3.
There is a great how to in the Mepislovers wiki.
