QTParted has problems creating ext3 partitionHi, I had Simply Mepis installed up until recently when I formated my whole hard drive and reinstalled Windows XP. But when I went to install Mepis again I had problems. When I tried to make an ext3 partiton using QTParted it said "There was a problem with mkfs.ext3". Can anyone help? Thanks, Carl. »

QTParted has problems creating ext3 partition
Are you trying to format the partitions With qtparted? If so there is no need the installer will take care of that. Did you format the whole drive with ntfs? If so resize with qtparted and reboot to let bios see parts then try install or check same with cfdisk from cli then install.
