Local Network Problems (Solved)
Okay here is the problem folks I had a update to my system and media com brought out a new modem/router/wireless well to start that really sucked no auto connections at all so I had them change the conbo unit to a modem only and installed my Linksys wireless rounter in line. Okay I now have auto connections to the net no problem. However and here is the problem child My windoze box can see both the Linux boxes neither of the linux boxes can see each other or the windoze box.
In Mepis utilities I get the following info;
Bubba: IP 192.168.79.1 wired computer
Gateway:192.168.79.1
Buford:wlan IP:192.168.1.101 wireless
Gateway:192.168.0.105
Windoze: IP:192.168.1.100 wired
Gateway:192.168.1.1
Question is do I set static addy's in the router,or each machine? And would that do any good right now they all connect but not to each other. Any hints will be accepted with a huge thank you. And this has also been posted on the Mepis-lovers forums too.
Also attempting to ping the local network it adds the domain name to the network name never did that before. So when pinging my net work I get this addy 208.254.3.166 which is not anyway near my addies.

Gateways
In Mepis utilities I get the following info;
Bubba: IP 192.168.79.1 wired computer
Gateway:192.168.79.1
Buford:wlan IP:192.168.1.101 wireless

Windoze: IP:192.168.1.100 wired
Gateway:192.168.1.1
Which gateway address is the correct one?
Bubba and Buford have different network IPs. They all need to be on same network. Either 192.168.1.x or 192.168.79.x.
Setup DHCP on the router and use Dhcp on your network card no static setup should be necessary.
What is your router network address 192.168.1 or 192.168.79?

That is the settings using DCHP and that is the problem when I upgraded the isp (mediacom) changed my domain and there is no changing it. I was thinking of going static on the router and then I may get my network back in action,as it was doing so well until Mediacom got a "better idea"
