remounting a USB drive R/W

How do I remount a USB disk read/write? It comes up as sda1 and it is Fat32.

sudo pmount rw

sudo pmount rw /dev/sda1
or
sudo pmount /dev/sda1 rw

I know one of the two works..Haven't done it in a while.
