OK the coolest Linux Game is Savage!!! The best part is it's FREE!

HOWTO Install:
NOTE: You do NOT need root privilages to install Savage because it stores everything in your user folder.
First off READ THE INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS FIRST! Otherwise you may do it wrong. I installed it on SimplyMEPIS 6.0 and it works perfectly. All you have to do is copy a file...anyway I'll tell you at the end of these instructions.
1. Follow the instructions in the file "Install Instructions PLZ READ BEFORE INSTALLING.txt"
2. Then you have to go to the following directory /usr/lib
3. From there make a copy of the file libtiff.so.4
4. Paste that file in the same folder and it will tell you that it already exists and to make a new file name.
5. Make the name libtiff.so.3
6. Make sure that you have BOTH libtiff.so.3 and libtiff.so.4 (which is the same file with 2 names)
Why did we copy libtiff.so.4 as libtiff.so.3?
The reason is because Savage runs off of libtiff.so.3. However when I first ran the game it would not work. So I ran it from the Konsole to see the errors and saw libtiff.so.3 NOT FOUND. MEPIS runs off of libtiff.so.4 which is an updated version of libtiff.so.3. All you had to do is copy it the ...so.4 to ...so.3 and then Savage could run.
How do I start the installer (because it opens in KWrite, KEdit, or Kate and is a GIANT text file)?
You actually have to start the installer from the Konsole.
The Konsole is located in KStartMenu > System > Terminal Program (Konsole)
1. First extract savage_linux.sh from savage_linux.sh.gz (Which will be located where ever you downloaded the torrent to)
2. NOW go to the Konsole and navigate to the folder that contains savage_linux.sh
3. Once in that folder type in the command below
sam@3[~]$ sh savage_linux.sh
(if you do not understand then make a post, I simply don't feel like telling how to use the Konsole, these instructions are for how to install the game).
Why is Savage free?
Savage is free because s2games did not feel like continuing to admin the Savage Server since they have recently released Savage 2: A Tortured Soul. This means that there are no more user logins which also means that there is no key to enter to activate the game. Just put in a whole bunch of zeroes..."00000000000000000000" that should be good. And the game is activated and ready to play.
How do I run the game?
To create a link to savage on your desktop:
1. Right click on your desktop > Create New > Link to Application...
2. Name the Link "Savage Game" where it says "Link to Application"
3. Click on the red/white checkered picture to change the icon
4. Check the "Other Icons:" and type in the following path:
/home/<user name>/games/Savage/icon.xpm
and then press ok
5. Now click on the Application tab.
6. Type the following in Command:
/home/<user name>/savage
and then press ok
Now your Savage game is set up. Click on the Savage link you just created on your desktop to begin playing!!!!
Now THAT's what I call SWEEET.

P.S. Savage is free for Windows also, not sure why you'd want it though.
