Powersaver Suspend to RAM

Running a Dell Latitude C840 with an NVIDIA GeForce4 440 GO card and the 1.5.6 NVIDIA 87.62 driver on a stock install of Mepis 6 (that means running KDE 3.5.3).

I finally got suspend to ram sort of working with kpowersave and suspend2 by adding the following line to the device section of my xorg.conf:

Option "NvAGP" "1"

By sort of working I mean that I can click on the suspend to ram option in the kpowersave tray menu and the system will suspend to ram. I can then close the lid and walk away. When I open the lid the system will resume, however, about half the time I do this the network card will not restart and every time I do this the sound is not restored.

Any thoughts on how to proceed from here are appreciated.
