ACER A9324 find it @ www.acer.co.in under Aspire Series
Hi!
Bought a new AMD 3200+, and wanted to install only Linux, I tried Freespire but did not like the amount of software packages in it. Then I downloaded Mepis 6, as well as Ubuntu 6.06.
Mepis was my first choice since it had all the required non free software like flash player and so on.I am a KDE guy.
Everything works fine but the sound card It says arts failed due to cpu overload. In ubuntu Live everything works fine, but I do not live GNOME so much prefer KDE can some one Help.

Does your sound still work? I found a post at Ubuntu that points to KDE as the possible culprit. If you havent allready you might try upgrading available packages to see if that cures it.
