Suspend to ram stopped working again
Posts: 46
Hi,
I'm having trouble with my suspend-to-ram. I use kpowersave with ACPI on MEPIS 6.0. I have a dell Inspiron 710m. Previously, the problem was no video after resuming. I figured out that one of my modules was causing the problem, so I listed that in the "UNLOAD MODULES BEFORE SUSPEND_TO_RAM" in /etc/powersave/sleep and everything worked fine for a couple of months. Now something has changed, and I don't even know what's different.
Now, when I tell it to suspend-to-ram, it begins the process, makes it all the way through the little graphic progress bar that says it's suspending, and then the screen goes black. Then, all of the sudden, everything comes back on as if it was immediately told to resume. Note that it doesn't fully sleep, since the led light doesn't blink like it usually does when it's asleep.
Does anyone have any ideas? I tried unloading modules again, but that didn't have any effect. Is there a an error log that ACPI outputs to if a suspend fails? If there was, that might help me determine at which point the suspend fails.

Here is the output from /var/log/suspend2ram.log. Maybe this will help?
