dell wireless card

hello,
I have a dell inspirion b130 with a broadcom 4318 wireless card and I'm having trouble getting it to work. What I have tried is doing the #broadcom native drivers and blacklist 43xx. I also installed the bcm43xx-fwcutter. Any suggestions as to what I can do. I am unfamiliar with ndiswrapper and am a newbie to linux.
