There's no QJoyPad; here's how to install it.

I love QJoyPad. I can sit reclined and navigate Firefox with my joystick
It's also great for using a joystick with games that don't support it.
The trouble is QJoyPad hasn't been updated for a while and the source doesn't compile, so I have found some info on the net on how to install it in Ubuntu.
Get the qjoypad-3.4-1.i586.rpm file from http://qjoypad.sourceforge.net/ (scroll down to the bottom of the page).
Type this in a console (not the < br / > if you can see them) :-
fakeroot alien qjoypad-3.4-1.i586.rpm
su
dpkg -i qjoypad_3.4-2_i386.deb
cd /usr/local/share/pixmaps/qjoypad/
ln -s /usr/share/icons/nuvola/22x22/apps/package_games.png icon24.png
ln -s /usr/share/icons/nuvola/64x64/apps/package_games.png icon64.png

I've got a MS SideWinder Game Pad Pro USB (this one -> http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-C18-00018-Sidewinder-Gamepad-Pro/dp/B00005NIMC) but I'm not sure if you can still get it.

I have a better gameport joypad similar to the Gravis but I haven't tried it yet. I've only just installed MEPIS and I'm still fiddling about
Cheers.
Thats interesting
