[Solved] Icon quandry
Posts: 32
I've replaced every instance I can find of the 16x16 blue globe icon for Firefox with the red fox around blue globe version. That includes all .xpm and .png files at that size. While the red/blue icon appears in the menu, on the desktop, and even when FF is loading, it appears in the panel open window tray, but as soon as it finishes loading the icon goes to the blue globe on the window tray and on the pager image, over the desktop thumbnail.
Can anyone tell me where the system is getting this image from? There doesn't seem to be any scalable image or anything else I can find to account for this.

Footnote to that:
/usr/lib/firefox/chrome is a symlink over to /usr/share/firefox/chrome/
In terms of absolute fs path, you'll actually be in /usr/share/firefox/chrome/icons/default and this may confuse some folks who have KFM configured differently.

Thank you, gentlemen. I am now a happy camper. I am surprised that a 48x48 image needed to be changed to affect a 16x16 display, but unexpected complexity is in the nature of modern life.

/usr/lib/firefox/chrome/icons/default
there's a default.xpm file there you'll need to overwrite...
