drivers will not load
Posts: 1
when I first was installing mepis, I could not use the live cd because the usb drivers were failing to initialize. I got past that easily enough by using the "nousb" command on the boot screen. now that mepis is installed, it denies all existence of my computer's usb. this is bad. I have all my important files on my external hard drives (yes, more than one) and cannot access them because they are connected through usb. I need to know how to get the usb drivers working.
To get started...

Open up a Konsole session ( K Menu --> System --> Terminal Program (Konsole)) and su to root.
Do: lspci and hit enter.
Do: lsmod and hit enter.
Try doing: lsusb and hit enter.
Copy and paste the output here.
We also need to know a bit more about your computer: Make, model, etc.
