toshiba satellite 3000-514
hi,
i have a problem with my satellite 3000-514 toshiba laptop.when ever i start the system,the system comes on..but the light on the screen does not come on....but when i look at the dark backgound of the screen,i can see it is on.
can someone help me out.pls

Display driver issue?
Can you let us know what type of display adapter it has, e.g. is it nvidia, ati or intel.
Also, how are you booting the machine? Are you using a live CD or a hard disk installation.
If it's a live CD, did you try the alternative boot options before posting to this forum? there are 4 listed in the initial boot screen (grub)
