VERY URGENT
How do I login? Just bought DVD with above product from LINUX MAGAZINE. Loaded up in part but cannot login without USER NAME and LOGIN. Can I use my new login details obtained to become a user of this site?

Now, try this. Insert the CD or DVD into the drive and reboot your computer. Assuming that you make no choices on the initial boot screen (called grub) you will eventually be taken to a "login" screen. You MUST enter a user name and password. On the Live CD you have two choices for the user: root or demo. The password for root is "root", and for demo it is "demo" (both without quotation marks).
I suggest that you log in as demo to look around and play. Then, if you want to INSTALL Mepis, start up again and log in as root.
Have you gotten this far or do you get some errors? If so, what exactly are you seeing? You cannot "load up in part" Mepis. It either is, or is not, installed.

Your msg makes no sense.
What did you download IF you got MEPIS from a DVD?
What do you mean "Loaded up in part"? Did you install it or not?
Is it running as a "LiveDVD"?
And, don't expect anyone to mail the answer to you. This is a FORUM in which answers to question are posted for ALL to benefit.
