Daily development report needed.

It would really help if we had a daily development report with what is currently being worked on, expected final release dates and place for comments so we know what is going on. Currently that information does not seem to be available.

You sound like a program manager I once worked for. When the program got into panic mode (90% of the time and 105% of the money expended leaving 40% of the work still undone) he brought progress to a complete halt by demanding daily status reports from everyone, and returning them all for rewrite. Even when all the reports reported progress on nothing but the reports he still didn't catch on.
