SpeedTouch 330 from Virgin - no luck so far

I`ve got SpeedTouch 330 from Virgin (black one) and no success so far. First I followed instructions from http://mandrakeusers.org/index.php?showtopic=16970 submited by lets-eat-gray. After I run the script cursor jumps for a couple of seconds and nothing after that. Nothing. Also in that script I did not found mentioned four lines to comment (#). There are only two identical, not four. Any way I try to run script and no luck, no nothing acctualy.My Mepis is SimplyMepis 6.0 Kernel 2.6.15-26 from LinuxUser. I did try Steve Parkers script from sodix post but stuck in same pleace - after I run the script there is no reaction from computer apart that jumping cursor (nice one). It looks like some kind of my linux rather than script problem. This is my first touch with Linux, I like it but no internet so far Can anyone help? I bet there are many Virgin broadband users with Mepis instaled.
