Thunderbird 1.5.0.8 hurting my eyes

How can I change the font size of the body of the text - it is about
6 on a 19.5" screen. Cntl+ does nothing.

edit > preferences > display > fonts

click button fonts and tweak the sizes.

Found the fonts and corrected the eye strain.
