Well I got mepis running on my Duel Core. Took a long time to install. Best I can get so far is 800x600 rez.
Had a horrable time installing it. I've forgotton all my linux commands. I stopped a job and didn't remember how to get back to it. Seems I have the drivers from ATI installed but I can't find a control pannel to change the settings.
How would I pull the new drivers from the test version with out installing. I'm basicly a noob now.

Tried the Live-CD first?

Hi le-nerdo;
I told you not to install, yet, but hey, I can't stop you, heheh!
Have you tried the Live-CD first, before installing?
There is an icon that says "Mepis install", which to most people is the only an easiest way to get started without Konsole (terminal) etc...
No Linux Commands should be needed in this case!
If you'd like to change the setting of your screenresolution,
1 rightclick on the desktop>configure desktop>
2 click on display>
3 size and orientation>
4 Screensizescrollbar>
5 pick your resolution>
6 click on refreshrate scrollbar and choose what you need...

If this Intel Duo boots fine with the beta I would like to move the graphics driver over. Not sure how yet. Any pointers where I can RTFM?
What is your question?

There are a lot of places to read about ATI drivers.
Here's one http://wiki.cchtml.com/index.php/Main_Page

I ran Beta 2 and 3 and the problem with the graphics card remained. 800x600 is the best I can do.
Any suggestions before I give up mepis on this machine?
Try MEPIS 32-bits beta3...

There are some video-card updates, as you can read.
So, maybe this is what you need?
Don't install yet, it's only a testversion!
