No SATA disk can bi seen.
I got OK a low-priced PC. I have try many Linux
on I but nobody can bi install on it.
I try Fedora, SUSE, MEPIS 6.0 and so on.
reason ? it got a SATA disk on .
It look like as this :
Primary Master IDE : universal / plain IDE HD.
Primary Slave IDE : DVD/CD
Third Master SATA HD.
It just come including the SATA I have put the Plain HD on it.
There is no way I can get Linux to boot on this ?
Yes it must bi GRUB I think buy what to do ?
I can change HD start and (by go in the BIOS every time)
else noting.
I Love my MEPIS but I can run it on this PC.

It my moderbord i have link to.
No can not make it work.
When i buy my PC i just got the SATA.
On SATA i make 2 partition on 40 GB.
I put Windows 2000 on sata disk on partion 1.
(just in case 
?
Then i sat my IDE1 on an old ATA HD.
Start from SATA in BIOS.
But Linux can only
see the ATA HD ?

My SATA works fine with SimplyMEPIS (using a Dell 8300 with SATA built into the motherboard).
I'm not sure I follow you...
If you dig through the BIOS options, you may find a boot order list somewhere (most PC's have this now). So, instead of selecting it every time you boot, try changing the boot order so that it always boots first. Then, when you install SimplyMEPIS, it should see it as the first drive in the system and install GRUB correctly for it.
