I just installed a new Belkin Wireless NIC. Is there someplace that tells me what I have to do to set it up. BTW, I am new to Linux

OK, But

Ok, but isn't there somewhere that gives step-by-step directions or at least tells you the various files that need changed and what those changes to make. It seems like a useless waste of time to be constantly reinventing or rediscovering the wheel!

Thanks George. I went into Mepis utilities > network utiliyies and fooled around a little till everythinh looked ok then rebooted. It worked (That's how I an writing this.

Seems like there should be docs somewhere to tell yo this. It would be a whole lot easier.

Ok, on to getting my network printer working!!!!!

I assume that you are using mepis 6.0. I am working with 6.0.4 beta3 which, while it has the same utilities causes my machine to freeze during boot up. I can connect using my own instructions together with changing the /etc/rc.local file.
