Screen image doesn't fill available space.

I have a multiboot system. I just installed Mepis 6.04 beta 1 yesterday. For some reason the screen image doesn't fill screen. I COULD adjust this with my Dell E772C moniter but then my other 3 partitions would be off. How can I address this in Mepis? I looked in KDE control Center but it does not provide an option to set it to my specific hardware. How to fix?

Chech what is the refresh

Chech what is the refresh frequency that might be different from other distros, you can try to change it like this: www.mepis.org/docs/en/index.php/Monitor_refresh_rate
Do you get the resolution that you need? The solution is in Wiki too...

BTW, please don't report bugs on Betas < 4, the current beta is 4 and most of the problems in Beta 1, 2, 3 were most likely already fixed in Beta 4.

The answer IS in the wiki, I

The answer IS in the wiki, I should have looked there 1st. Impatience! Instead of refresh rate I needed to input my monitor Brand [Dell] and Model [E772C] as described on this page:

http://www.mepis.org/docs/en/index.php/Monitor_resolution

under 'Another way to fix the resolution'. On my computer this is actually go to 'KMenu>System>Mepis>Mepis x-Windows Assistant' and select 'Monitor' tab and enter monitor brand and model which automatically sets everything else and then follow the instructions to restart X. Problem Solved.

I think [but am not sure] that if I have:

deb http://apt.mepis.org/dev32-6.0/ mepis main

in '/etc/apt/sources.list' then after upgrade or dist-upgrade I then have the latest 6.04 beta. At any rate it is working pretty well for me so far.

Red Knuckles is an idiot.

Red can you possibly be more stupid? It tells you on the login splash screen that you have 6.04 beta 4. The beauty of Linux in general and Mepis in particular is that you can find/do things with the least amount of effort and time. Dumbass.
