grub error 22

hey guys and gals... trying to solve a little issue i'm having after installing a 4th HD. i added a new 300 GB HD to my system, and hit a grub 22 error. i tried reinstalling mepis and the grub loader but to no avail. i run windows on it's on HD and linux on another with a partion for it. the HD lay out stands like this i got 2 IDE HD's one's and 8 GB with my windows xp on it, the other's a 40GB for my software. i then have a SATA cantoller card running 2 SATA HD's a 250GB and a 300GB. the 250 has had linux on it and has work for the last year or so but when i put in the new 300 it started giving me this error. any ideas on how to fix this error??

oh and anybody know how to get linux to use an S-video connection so i don't have to keep jacking my friends monitor since i'm now using my 50 DLP TV as a monitor??
