Shell command prompt from Konsole using keyboard
Posts: 20
Newbie here & this is related to my login problem posted recently.
I have searched hi & lo for for quick keys etc to get into shell command. I cannt use KDE (Desktop GUI?) due to the login problem. So how do I get into the shell prompt via quickkeys? Specifically what do I type to get into su mode?
Is there some where on the forum (& there will be just can't find it) that has quick key menu & a list of common systems utilities equivalent to windows?
I did find page with links to all sorts of info but cannot find it easily.
A suggestion to moderators is that this info & links are given an easily identifiable forum/page just for that info. I have found it (by browsing but cannot find it now).
Thanks
Thanks for quick response &

Thanks for quick response & yes just after I posted my query I did find Docs page but I still not found a list of quick keys there yet.
Some people call me madly insane.
Actually I quite enjoy it.

CTRL-ALT-F1 thought F6 give you console CTRL-ALT-F7 should bring GUI back.
You can also start konsole once you are logged in in KDE there's a link to it in kicker and you can set up a key shortcut if you want (I have Win+C for example)
to log in as root type "su" if you are logged in as a different user and then the root passwork, otherwise type "root" for username and then password when prompted.
