SoHo server

Is there anywhere that I can download soho server? I've looked for a long time, to no avail.

Thanks!

from the subscribers site

it is available from the subscribers' site, which would mean paying for at least a short term.
this is not a recent mepis - it is based on sarge.

Still available recently

Try the testing directories of the download sites from here at mepis. There is at least one that has SOHO Server in one of the testing versions. It was/is a good one. You can probably find help easily enough on the forums.

Whoops! Broke it again....I'm enjoying this too much.

Can't find it... :(

I've looked in a lot of directories, and I still can't find it. If you could provide with a link, I would appreciate it a lot.

Thanks!

Password?

Says I need a password? Is that the pay subscriber site?

Try Here

Thanks!

I found that when I was first looking. I was using Firefox, and it wasn't working. It didn't occur to me to use IE instead.

Thanks!

Not working..

I tried on a box that I want to use for the server. 1.3 celeron, everything else is onboard (so no vid or sound card), I thought it would work, but it's not, it keeps coming up with a heap of errors, no matter what option I choose. Can I fix this?

Also, I have another spare box, that is used a secondary compiter. SoHo looks like it can be used as desktop, but the one-click thing is annoying. Is there a way to make it double click is necessary instead? Like Freespire linux.

Thanks!

Hello hybrid to double click

Hello hybrid
to double click mouse
Start > System Configuration (Settings) > Peripherals > Mouse > General
In the bottom window select "Double Click to open files"

I am assuming that you are using Mepis 6.0.4

Regards George

The Devil is in the detail.

Cool

I'm using the latest version of SoHo server, but it looks just the same as Simply Mepis. I'll give that a shot when I get back from school.

Thanks!

It looks like apt isn't working. I tried to update with apt-get update, but it doesn't work. It comes up with a whole lot of errors. It says something like it could not open a file because it's a read only system.

Thanks for all the help, I appreciate it!

liveCD

if this system is running live, then you can't update apt because you can't write to the CD.
scanning through that lspci list I don't see any showstoppers
