Doesn't work with nVidia Geforce 6150
I've had trouble with all past MEPIS systems on my year-old computer that uses an nVidia Geforce 6150 integrated video northbridge. (Specifically, it's a Foxconn/Winfast 6150K8MA-EKRS.) In 3.4.3 and 6.0, the Ethernet didn't work, which was quite the show-stopper. In 6.5-b5, Ethernet works. So does sound. Both of those are common trouble spots for distros using 2.6.15. But the video doesn't. When I boot the live CD the default way, it gets to the point where it starts Xorg. The monitor goes black and in a few seconds goes to power save mode. Only the red button saves the system. VESA works (which is how I know the Ethernet works) but of course it's unbearably slow.
There's a boot option for the "nvidia" driver, but that seems to not be there. The "nv" driver is what comes up by default and fails.

I have had no problems with
I have had no problems with my 6150-based MSI K8NGM2-FID, using Mepis 6.0. There are a few bugs in the nvidia drivers, of course, but the only one I've noticed is the one that prevents googleearth from working.
I don't what could be giving your Foxconn problems.
