Warning! 6.5 b5.1-32 md5sums don't match !!!!
I just downloaded the b5.1 beta from the subscription server and immediately checked the md5 sums.
THEY DIDN'T MATCH!

Update: after downloading the iso from the subscription server twice, and getting the same results, I tried the Carrol edu website and the iso on that site gave a good md5sum
So, I think the iso on the subscrition server is defective.
RE:Mine match, donloaded from
That's what I thought too, so I re-downloaded it from the subscription site and checked again.
No joy. I got the same m5sum on the iso, and it is still different from the md5sum file.

I'm running my disk in live
I'm running my disk in live mode right now, and posting this from the live version, so I guess my disk is ok, something seems not right with the subscription site, I guess.
You could try the ftp mirror I used.

There may be a difference
I reported a mismatched iso for 6.5 beta5, which has apparently led to the discovery of the missing packages, but now the beta5.1 is reported as being different too?
I'll wait for the next beta or whatever comes out as I have since updated from the pools.

I initially had a bad
I initially had a bad download and reported to Warren, he said he doublechecked the MD5 to make sure and other people reported success, I downloaded again and I got the same md5sum as the one on FTP site.

md5sum...
I too had a problem with the 32 bit beta 5.1 downloaded last evening. Both times I got the same k3b generated md5sum from the iso's, that did not match the above 9c80ef60ae934d059d5375639ffc252c SimplyMEPIS-CD_6.5.b5.1_32.iso md5sum file.
I installed it last night and it seemed fine. I downloaded again this morning and this time the iso downloaded matched the md5sum above. So I installed that one, and again all seems fine. I did take note that both the md5sum file and iso image file on the mepis server had the same time stamp for all three attempts (17:xx from memory now)

I let k3B do the calculation, all is well.
I also did a "regular" command line md5sum, good there too.
Maybe your download is corrupted?
