Too buggy fir now. . . .
I love Mepis and love KDE. After several attempts to install 6.5 beta5 I've given up ;and install Linux Mint (Gnome) on my secondary hard drive. . . . Problem with Mepis was after the initial install and getting Wifi to work. . . took 3 attempts. . . .I installed nvidia (legacy) for my default video driver (fx5200 Nvida video card). It was installed and I rebooted the computer. Upon reboot completion I was in textmode and was to enter Ctrl-Alt-f7 or f8. . . .neither worked. . . just got a blinking cursor. . ..That's when I've decided that Mepis 6.5 beta 5 was too buggy. . . . Guess I'll have to wait for the final version . . ..Mepis is a very good distro. .. one of the best. ...if not the best. . . but it has not kept itself up. I release that this is just a beta. ..thank god.. .. it'll need more work. .. .

You should have got a clue that's not for you when you saw that's "Beta" software.
Beta software it's meant to be tested and it's only for people WHO WANT to find bugs and report them to dev team not complain about it on forums.
